Item Description

A classic example of the famous material from Morenci. This specimen features many bladed, rich midnight blue, sharp, lustrous crystals of Azurite, with associated velvety spherical Malachite along with Malachite at the base which appears to be partially oxidized. Very little damage on the display side, and it looks wonderful in person and up close. The largest Azurite crystal measures 1.6 cm. This area has produced some of the most attractive Azurites from any locality in the world. Obviously, Bisbee is the premier Arizona locality for Azurite, but Morenci produced some really eye-catching specimens over the years. A great piece for any fan of secondary ore minerals, Azurite and Malachite combos or minerals of Arizona.
