Item Description
One of the classic associations in the mineral world is Azurite with Malachite. Specimens from the Liufengshan Mine have been on the market for about 15+ years, and they remain some of the most beautiful and fine quality examples of Azurite with Malachite extant. They are notably similar to the classic pieces from Bisbee, Arizona with their intense midnight blue Azurite crystals and gorgeous velvety green Malachite combos. For now these are still contemporary pieces, but they surely will go down as classics. This fine quality small cabinet sized display features excellent, sharp, lustrous, bladed crystals of deep blue Azurite which are associated with lovely, semi-botryoidal groups and banded layer of mint-green Malachite with minor oxidized matrix. It's uncanny how much the piece looks like it's from Bisbee! The piece is in excellent shape overall, as the only roughness is along the outer edges where it was removed from the pocket wall. A very showy, eye-catching and nice good quality example of these beloved specimens. Priced in the inventory at $500.
