Item Description
This is a beautiful miniature specimen of Azurite on Malachite from the famous Milpillas Mine. For reference, this locality is now finished in terms of the oxidized zone, so there will be no more Azurite specimens ever again. This piece features fine quality, very sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue, prismatic crystals of Azurite measuring up to 2.0 cm sitting on forest green velvety Malachite matrix. The piece is in good condition overall, but there is an unfortunate contact on the top of one of the main Azurite crystals. These specimens will start to disappear from the market now that the mine is finished in terms of specimen production, so be sure to pick them up while you can because they are unquestionably some of the finest examples of the species ever found.
