Item Description
These specimens are still fairly new to the market, but they remain some of the finest examples of Azurite with Malachite ever seen from any world locality. These pieces immediately remind one of the classic associations from Bisbee, Arizona with their intense midnight blue Azurite crystals and gorgeous velvety green Malachite combinations. Although they are contemporary pieces, they will go down as classics, and certainly near the top of the finest representations of this well-known combo. This attractive cabinet display piece features incredibly lustrous, sharp, bladed crystals of deep blue Azurite which are associated with chatoyant, semi-botryoidal groups of Malachite on mostly massive Azurite matrix. The reverse side of the piece features a narrow vug filled with actual crystals of velvety green Malachite, so there are two distinct styles of Malachite on the same specimen. The quality and overall appearance of the piece make it incredibly desirable, and the front / display side is in wonderful condition. A very showy, eye-catching and incredibly good quality example of these now beloved specimens. Priced in the inventory at $1,500.
