Dazzling intergrown rosettes of highly lustrous, royal-blue to navy-blue, azurite crystals with striking "electric-blue" highlights form a sculptural specimen from recent Chinese finds. A bit of malachite and matrix on the backside are nice accents. Contacting and bruising are mainly confined to the back of this beautiful piece. The azurite quality is outstanding and compares to the best of Bisbee, Chessy, Touissit or Tsumeb.
