Item Description

Old-time Bisbee azurite specimens are a U.S. classic and this a very fine example from the Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. Three, sculptural vugs in the starkly contrasting gossan matrix are fully lined with spherical aggregates of scintillating, azure-blue, azurite blades. The large vug is stunning in its glory. The smaller side vug even has fabulously contrasting, blood-red cuprite variety chalcotrichite next to the azurite. Outstanding older and RARE combination material from this historic locale, at least 60 years old. The piece is probably from the Cole Shaft. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
