Azurite with Aragonite and Arsentsumebite

Item Description

This is a colorful and attractive combination specimen bearing blue Azurite, whitish Aragonite and green Asrentsumebite. There are three separate clusters of lustrous Azurite crystals on the piece with the largest one perched upright in the back consisting of several crystal with the longest at 2.4 cm. There is a recumbent cluster above these on the top, back edge with the largest crystal here at 1.5 cm. Another cluster of several 3 to 6 mm Azurites are present on the left side of the piece. Several radial divergent groups of Aragonite are placed strategically at the front of the piece studded with tiny terminations that just glisten with any incident light. The Arsentsumebite is present on the sides and back of the piece as rich verdant green, low-profile, small botryoids and as anhedral aggregates intergrown with the matrix. This is a well composed and contrasting miniature of these three species. Classic Tsumeb combination from the early mining era here, late 1800s to early 1900s.
