Item Description

A nifty solid crust of sharp, lustrous, royal-blue azurite crystals nicely accented with scattered contrasting malachite from the famous and ancient mines at Chessy, the Type Locality. All the crystals have nice flashes of electric-blue color under bright light. A choice and uncommon style from the Mervyn Ford Collection. The mines were closed by 1875.
