Item Description

Large, old-time Bisbee azurite specimens are always in demand and this excellent CABINET piece is from the collection of Evan Jones, one of the most prominent Arizona collectors. Rosettes of lustrous, navy-blue, azurite blades are attractively scattered on the carpet of botryoidal, bladed malachite of various hues. Trivial scattered bruising to the azurite rosettes are noted, but are certainly not a detraction, as you can see. Classic Bisbee material from the 121-F Stope, 1200 Level of the famous Cole Mine. Evan"s older label has a $950 price, but this piece is worth considerably more today, say $1300-1500.
