Item Description

Beautiful, sharp, bright blue, azurite crystals are aesthetically set in a vug on this showy and excellent old-timer from the famous Copper Queen Mine (probably the Czar Shaft). The azurites are nicely accented with malachite pseudos after azurite and tiny fans of primary malachite needles. There is a fabulous, tiny, gem azurite hidden in a 1.1 cm vug on the side of the gossan matrix. Ex A.E. Foote to the British Museum and obtained by Giancarlo Fioravanti in a trade in 1975.
