Item Description

An adorable thumbnail combination from Morenci. Three aesthetically intergrown rosettes of highly lustrous navy-blue azurite crystals are beautifully flanked by contrasting malachite botryoids. The azurites glow with electric-blue color under bright light. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 9498 and acquired at the Tucson Show in February, 1982. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). Classic and excellent azurite from well-known early 1980s finds at Morenci.
