Item Description
Sharp, highly lustrous, navy-blue, lozenge-shaped azurite crystals are aethetically set on matrix to form an exquisite and sculptural miniature from the recent finds at this now famous locality. The dominating large crystal is 1.8 cm and is doubly terminated. The bit of malachite exposed on one of the azurites reveals, that the azurites are actually double pseudomorphs! Malachite replaced the original azurite crystals and then the rich navy-blue azurite grew over the malachite. This is a very fine example of this highly desirable variety. Get a good one while you can. Valued at $500-700 and well worth it.
