Item Description

An interesting Azurite specimen from a recent find (2022) in the Dongchuan District, Yunnan, China featuring beautiful blue colored, almost fibrous Azurite with minor Chrysocolla (?) and veinlets of Malachite in the host rock matrix. It's quite different from the more traditional pieces seen from well-known localities like the Shilu Mine or the Liufengshan Mine. I've only seen a handful of these, and I bought them directly from a source in China who said that it seems to be a very limited find, as no more have surfaced since. A cool esoteric locality specimen for any fan of Azurites, copper minerals, or specimens from China.
