Item Description

A spectacular and sculptural large ribbed and furrowed azurite specimen from this obscure Idaho copper mine. A very dense network of tiny, navy-blue, sparkly to matte-finish azurite crystals dramatically covers the gossan matrix. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and from the Adolph Dosse Collection of Fontana, California, according to his label. Trimingham changed the originally named Peacock Mine in Lemhi County (Dosse label - not included) to the Adams County Peacock Mine. RARE and excellent material from this locale. A must for the species or locality collector.
