Item Description

A fine quality small cabinet display specimen of Azurite from the famous contemporary locality at the Milpillas Mine. This piece features super, sharp, incredibly lustrous, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to a full 7 mm forming semi-"rosette"-esque groups sitting on a beautiful contrasting snow white Dickite plus minor Malachite on matrix forming a really eye-catching specimen. Many of the Azurite crystals are slightly gemmy near the edges when backlit, but it's the glistening luster that makes them so darned attractive. The piece was priced in the inventory at $2,000. Great quality overall, and this material will only increase in value as the years go by, especially now that we're told the locality is finished producing this material. These are some of the best crystallized Azurite specimens to come out of any locality in decades.
