Item Description

Vivid royal-blue radiating azurite "suns" are aesthetically clustered or isolated on the sculptural large matrix. The "sun" on the left side is 2.8 cm across, as is the striking, protruding "sun" on the upper right. The azurite suns form between layers of kaolinized siltstone. The aggregates were forced to grow in a laterally compressed, radiating manner. Not another azurite locality in the world produces them quite like this. A fine matrix piece with multiple "suns" highlighted by the cluster and isolated "suns". While classics, and mined each year currently, this is a artful and colorful specimen.
