Item Description

A striking 3.6 cm azurite "sun" is aesthetically set on the sculptural small cabinet matrix from this excellent specimen from recent Australian finds. The stunning rosette is composed of royal-blue azurite blades. The azurite suns form between layers of kaolinized siltstone matrix. The aggregates were forced to grow in a laterally compressed, radiating manner. Not another azurite locality in the world produces them quite like this. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock.
