Item Description

A classic from Morenci! This piece is a well-crystallized "rosette" composed of sharp, blocky rich blue colored crystals of Azurite with a gentle velvety luster. The piece is in great shape on the display side, and only has a small point of attachment on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. It's not easy to get your hands on a 2 inch+ "rosette" of Azurite from Morenci anymore, so if you collect Arizona minerals or secondary species, this is a great one to pick up for an excellent price. This piece comes with an old label from noted New York City mineral dealer, Larry Conklin. Larry originally had the piece priced at $2,000 for what it's worth and he refers to the piece as a "superb xlized 'ball'".
