The La Sal area in southeastern Utah is renowned for producing some of the most attractive Azurite "roses" for any US locality outside of Arizona. These beautiful and fine quality specimens are some of the most well-known minerals from any Utah locality for their excellent size, color, luster and quality, and when they are at their best, they are quite striking. This piece is a particularly attractive and fine quality small cabinet sized group featuring many "roses" comprising very sharp, highly lustrous, bladed crystals of deep blue Azurite associated with minor green Malachite. The piece is a complete "floater" with no damage that I can find. A fantastic example of these classic and now very hard to find Azurites. Very showy and better quality I think in person than the video might convey. Valued at $4,000. From the collection of Colin Manlove
