Item Description
Adorable large floater thumbnail blocky rose of tabular azurite crystals from the famous Morenci Mine area. The highly lustrous crystals have fine royal-blue color. Collected in a significant find of March of 1998, this is true Arizona classic in this highly desirable form. This is the only time that Morenci produced azurite Roses that could be confused with the old turn of the 1900s-era Bisbee roses. Ex De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock. The Copper Mountain Mine is also known as the Manganese Blue Mine. The De Natura label lists the piece as being from the Manganese Blue Mine.
