Item Description
The recent finds of exceptional azurite specimens from this Laos Cu-Au mine really excited collectors at the Tucson and Munich Shows. A striking sharp, splendent, midnight-blue, 2.3 cm, doubly terminated, tabular crystal with sharp tapered edges and blue highlights is jauntily perched on the miniature matrix. The botryoidal ironstone matrix confirms this piece is from the Sepon Mine and not China. Complete all-around, the tiny edge bruise is certainly only a modest detraction. The broken azurites on one side of the matrix have little impact to the excellent quality of this two-sided beauty from the Rob Sielecki Collection.
