Item Description
A FABULOUS and UNIQUE azurite "board" from the famous Cole Shaft at Bisbee. Rare! Lustrous, scalloped, light and dark sky-blue layered azurite rests on a thin matrix plate. The botryoidal azurite "eyes" at the base are a SUPER accent and look just like alligator or trilobite eyes. A truly facinating and unusual specimen! The very rich Cole Shaft produced ore intermittantly from 1905 to 1975. Value??? This is only the second such example, so far replaced, I have seen.
