Item Description
Swiss Azurite specimens are exceedingly rare on the market, and a piece like this would make a great addition to a secondary ore mineral collection or a suite of European (or specifically Swiss) minerals. Small, rich blue colored, "sprays" and semi-acicular crystals of Azurite are scattered on the display specimen of the specimen. Best viewed under magnification, and we've used a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. I don't think we've ever had a specimen of this material to offer in the auctions, and it's certainly rarer than their counterparts from Tete des Econduits. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9580). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
