Azurite (rare locality specimen) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

From this historic / ancient copper mine in the Black Forest - which closed in 1924 - here we have a VERY rarely seen specimen featuring very sharp, lustrous, well-formed, semi-radial / "flower"-shaped "sprays" of deep azure blue colored crystals of Azurite with minor accenting mint green Malachite on Quartz on matrix. The largest group measures about 6-7 mm across. The Azurites looks beautiful up close, and if you collect secondary ore minerals or specimens from the Black Forest, don't miss out on this obscure and attractive specimen.
