Item Description
This is a hard-to-find Azurite specimen from the classic Cole Mine (Cole Shaft) in Bisbee, Arizona. The piece features a sharp, blocky, lustrous, deep royal-blue Azurite crystal measuring 3.1 cm, partially altering to chatoyant green Malachite sitting on minor matrix. Additional crystals of Azurite can be seen on the piece as well, which are also in the process of pseudomorphing to Malachite. Very few confirmed pieces of Azurite from the Cole Mine are available on the market, and we've only had a handful over the years.
Ex Les Presmyk (De Natura) specimen, with a label from Pat Hendrick.
