Item Description
A classic specimen of old Campbell Shaft material featuring sharp, well-formed crystals of blue Azurite which are starting to alter / pseudomorph to Malachite. The reverse side of the piece shows more of an acicular habit of Malachite. The largest crystal on the display side of the piece measures 6 mm. Great quality, and very attractive for this historic material from Bisbee. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1347). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
