Item Description
These pieces will go down as classics from Mexico, along with being some of the finest quality specimens of Azurite/Malachite ever found. This is an attractive toenail sized specimen of Azurite with Malachite from the famous Milpillas Mine. This piece features fine quality, sharp, rather lustrous, deep blue, bladed crystals of Azurite measuring up to 2.2 cm associated which are partially altering/pseudomorphing to green Malachite on the surface. The piece is in good condition overall, with minor roughness around the outside edges where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. Milpillas is finished in terms of the oxidized zone, so there will be no more Azurite specimens according to our sources.
