Item Description
Don't be fooled, this beautiful polished slice of Azurite isn't from Bisbee, or any other Arizona locality, but rather the remote Rubtsovsk Mine (formerly the Poteryaevskoe Mine) in Russia. The piece has deep saturated blue color with gorgeous banded formations, and it's polished on both sides to better show the quality. It appears to be pure Azurite, I don't see any Malachite or other associated minerals on the piece, and it looks beautiful up close in person. A really attractive and hard to find example of this lesser-seen material. Specimen weight is 38.7 grams. From the collection of Jason Adams.
