Azurite on Tennantite, with Calcite

Sharp, lustrous, and deep blue, these Azurites rest on a matrix of Tennantite, with minor Calcite. The major, complete Azurite crystal rests atop the specimen like a ship cresting the waves. The Azurite is 1.5 cm long, .9 cm tall, and .6 cm wide, and curved just like the hull of a ship, in fact. The majority of the crystal is pristine, with one small ding on an upper tip. The smaller, lower Azurite is contacted at the bottom, but that contact has a minimaleffect on the overall aesthetics, which are excellent.
