Azurite on Quartz (uncommon locale) ex Stoudt Coll.

Item Description

Azurite specimens from this small, obscure older Mexican locality are very uncommon and are seldom on the market. However, the crystal quality is very high and this is a rich and excellent example. Sharp, scintillating, navy-blue crystals, to about 8 mm, cover the drusy quartz matrix crust, which includes sections of two quartz crystals on the lower right. The crystal have gorgeous flashes of "electric-blue" color under bright light. Ex Irv Michelson and Dave Stoudt Collections.
