Azurite on Malachite (rare for the locality)

Item Description

A really attractive and hard to find piece from the Blue Jay Pit in San Juan Co., Utah. The reason I say this is a hard to find piece is because typically the specimens feature Azurite with only a tiny bit of Malachite, but this piece is the complete reverse effect featuring a velvety botryoidal group of green Malachite, that plays host to little "rosette"-esque groups of Azurite measuring about 1-2 mm across. Specimens from this locality are rare enough as it is, but to find one like THIS is incredibly rare. If you collect copper minerals, secondary ore minerals, specimens from Utah or specifically pieces from San Juan County, don't miss out on this eye-catching specimen of this classic combo in the mineral world.
