Ultra-sparkly spherical aggregates of royal-blue and navy-blue, azurite crystals with gorgeous "electric-blue" gemminess liberally cover the very sculptural velvet malachite matrix. This piece is from the early offerings of azurite from the Liufengshan Mine. These crystals compare with the best from Bisbee and have exceptional scintillating luster. It looks great from either side. Ex Karl Warning Collection and purchased from The Arkenstone at Tucson on February 13, 2005. A very fine large miniature.
