This interesting specimen of azurite on malachite comes from famous old finds here, that really look a lot like older (and more expensive) old classic USA material from Bisbee Arizona! The underside shows radial malachite growth, with a layer of bright blue azurite in the foreground. The azurite then transitions from dense, lustrous, wet-looking crystals in the foreground, to a blanket of green malachite, dusted by small crystals of glistening azurite crystals. The malachite coloring varies between rich, dark greens to brighter hues. When viewed from the reverse angle, complex layering of blue azurite and green malachite form in gentle waves. This makes for a dynamic specimen with great visual interest. valued $500
