Azurite on Malachite (classic material)

A very attractive and fine quality miniature of this classic material featuring a predominant, "rose" comprising very sharp, highly lustrous, bladed crystals of deep blue Azurite sitting atop green Malachite matrix. The "rose" measures about 3.1 cm across, but additional Azurites can be seen flowing down the back of the piece. A very good example of these classic and now very hard to find Azurites. Very showy and better quality I think in person than the video might convey. The La Sal area in southeastern Utah is renowned for producing some of the most attractive Azurite "roses" for any US locality outside of Arizona. These beautiful and fine quality specimens are some of the most well-known minerals from any Utah locality for their excellent size, color, luster and quality, and when they are at their best, they are quite striking.
