Milpillas produced so much azurite, and so much value, in a brief window that is now closed. While there is still a lot of material on the market, that means there is time to acquire one before these become tomorrow's old classics. This is a really adorable large miniature with deep blue azurite, perched on mounded, velvety malachite. The color contrast is striking! The large azurite is shaped somewhat like a bowtie, and has wonderful color - not too dark or too light. It has a sharp tip at one end, the other being missing in back, so it probably should display vertically but also looks good from a few horizontal angles. Valued $1200.
