Azurite on Malachite

Item Description

This is a very attractive display specimen of azurite on malachite from the prolific Liufengshan mine. The sculptural vug is fully lined with sparkly, dark blue azurite blades, either in very prominent or subtle rosettes. Many of the blades exhibit desirable "electric blue" gemminess under bright light. The massive malachite matrix is a fine contrast and this piece resembles classic material from Bisbee, Arizona. This is an excellent specimen in this size range. These specimens are commanding high prices, even from the Chinese dealers. Valued at $300-500. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
