Azurite on Malachite

Item Description

An aesthetic matrix specimen of azurite on malachite from the now famous discovery of 2007 at Milpillas. Although there were many of these specimens available a few years ago, fine quality, undamaged display specimens are few and far between. Four, fine quality, sharp, highly lustrous, somewhat gemmy (desirable electric-blue), deep blue, bladed crystals of azurite up to 1.5 cm aesthetically sitting atop mounded velvety, green botryoidal malachite. A bit of bruising to the malachite is only a modest detraction. A nice little display specimen from this well-known find, that looks good from either side.
