Azurite on Malachite

Highly lustrous, dark royal-blue, bladed, azurite rosettes fill a sculptural vug in CABINET matrix of malachite and azurite on this striking and beautiful specimen from recent Chinese finds. The quality of the azurite is outstanding. The stylized specimen looks like a blue rocket car with green wheels and green flames coming out of the back! A bit of contacting and periphery wear is noted, but is a very modest detraction to this very bright specimen. Chinese azurites of this quality compare very favorably with Bisbee material. High praise. Valued at $300-400.
