Beautiful, lustrous, discrete, royal-blue, bladed azurite rosettes richly and aesthetically cover both sides of the contrasting malachite matrix on this very fine and showy specimen from recent finds at the Liufengshan Mine of China. The azurite rosettes on this piece are super and this is definitely one of the better azurites we have offered at auction from this locale. Chinese azurites of this quality compare very favorably with Bisbee material. High praise. Valued at $300-400. This piece displays well without aid.
