Sparkly tiny royal-blue azurite crystals form an aesthetic, bulbous "organic looking" large miniature from this classic Arizona locale. The crystals glow with electric-blue color under bright light. Better in person! The Copper Queen mine was established in the late 1800s and was the most productive copper mine in Arizona. Sadly, the mine ceased production in 1975, cementing fine specimens from the locality as mineral classics! This style of sparkly growths on limonite was characteristic of the pre-WWI years and became a necessary addition to museums around the world at the time. Perfect for its size, this is a bit of Arizona mining history. Valued $1000-1250. ex Ted Bartels collection
