Lovely cluster of vintage and classic style of Moroccan Azurites, on Dolomite, from the well-known Touissit mining district. Highly-lustrous and beautifully-formed with their tabular, almost spearhead-like habit, the Azurites have a desirable, deep-blue color. Reaching up to 1.5 cm, these crystals have the classic, excellent translucence which creates a rich, royal-blue glow when backlit. Exactly what any collector would want. They are complete around, with only a few trivial contacts on the edges, otherwise pristine. This is a showpiece, no doubt about it! Many of these came out in the late 1990s, and they are still sought-after today. With such superb luster, outstanding form, and sharp contrast between the species, the aesthetics of this miniature are really enticing.
