Scintilliating, gemmy, "electric-blue", azurite crystals to 6 mm richly line a dramatic series of interconnected vugs on three sides of the sturdy gossan matrix. The contrasting tiny gemmy needles of primary malachite are a super accent. This outstanding old-timer is from the Consie Prince Collection. These Concepcion del Oro, Zacatecas azurites are perhaps the gemmiest azurites in the world, rivaling the best from Tsumeb or Morocco. Specimens of this quality mostly came out the 1950s, so this is old-time, showy material. Valued at $750-850.
