Item Description

Sparkly spherical aggregates of navy-blue azurite crystals fill a sculptural vug in azurite and gossan matrix on this showy and excellent old-time specimen from the famous Copper Queen Mine. The crystals GLOW with electric-blue color under bright light. Classic, rich azurite probably dating prior to World War I from this famous mine. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
