Lustrous, blocky, intergrown, navy-blue azurite crystals form a sculptural, mounded, two-sided specimen on this fine old-timer from Chessy. Blocky crystals, such as this, are relatively uncommon compared to the ususually seen tabular crystals. The bit of noted periphery wear has minimal impact to this fine old-timer. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by 1875 and this is a most excellent example of an uncommon form and classic species. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.. valued $900
