Item Description

An old-time, very showy, elongated, flattened, mounded rosette of intergrown, lustrous, rich navy-blue, azurite blades from the famous mines at Chessy. Many blades glow with "electric-blue" color under bright light. This fine two-sided classic is in great shape. One end is contacted and the basal periphery wear is confined to the 'B' side. This rosettte is nicely accented with scattered bits of malachite. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by 1875 and this is a most excellent example of a classic form and species.
