A superb, sculptural and colorful large 360-degree azurite and malachite from the one-time 1997 find at this obscure Brazilian locale. One side of the artistic rounded crown dramatically features rich green malachite, that has partially or entirely pseudomorphed the bladed spherical aggregates of royal-blue azurite crystals. The other side is nearly entirely covered with the striking, beautiful royal-blue, bladed azurite balls. One usually thinks of world-class gem pegmatite minerals and rare species from Brazil. So, to see oxidized copper minerals from Brazil is truly unusual and rare. These came out in a small find and caused quite a stir, at the time. These are not common at all, especially the combination of both colors. Both sides display beautifully and distinctively different without aid.
