Item Description

A very showy and excellent small cabinet combination plate from the Northwest Extension of the Morenci Mine. Lustrous, azure-blue, azurite crystals, with striking electric-blue highlights under bright light, rest among an undulating field of velvet malachite pseudomorphs after azurite crystals. The contacted sides of the piece show the beautiful and bright chatoyancy of the banded malachite. Ex Harold Urish Collection # 831 and valued at $300.
