Item Description
Mineral specimens from this ancient mining district, known since the Roman Era, are few and far between. Clusters of highly lustrous, navy-blue, azurite blades to 6 mm complimented with contrasting malachite are beautifully and richly scattered on both sides and crest of the sculptural, brecciated gossan matrix on this exceptionally fine combination old-timer. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and purchased form the Richard Barstow Collection in 1974 for 25 pounds. RARE and excellent material.
