Azurite & Malachite (Hefendehl Coll.)

Item Description

Colorful and showy azurite and malachite small cabinet from the famous Morenci Mine. Classic bladed azurite balls and contrasting, smaller highly lustrous, grass-green malachite botryoids cover all three sides of the sculptural mounded specimen. The exterior of the azurite balls is navy-blue, with scattered bruising/contacting revealing royal-blue interiors. The scattered damage is certainly only a modest detraction. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection. A highly representative combination from the famous locale. It is probably from the 1980s era.
