Item Description

A showy and excellent combination from this famous, long extinct mining district. The sculptural larger vug hosts tiny, scintillating, gemmy "electric-blue" azurite crystals, complimentary malachite botryoids and olive-green olivenite crystals. A 9 mm spray of lustrous, navy-blue azurite blades on a carpet of spherical aggegates of acicular primary malachite crystals in the adjacent vug on the sturdy and hefty gossan matrix makes for a fine combination specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection. There are more vugs with electric-blue azurites on the sides and back. From the collection of Ralph Dietz, according to Bob's label.
